Pencil Pleat

This is a classic, yet simple style, that is the slightly more elegant alternative to a gathered heading. Our standard pencil pleats are 7.5cm (3”) deep. As one of our best value pleated headings, not surprisingly it is also our most popular style.

Single Pleat

Triple Pleat

This style is known as the classic french pleat or triple pleat which is a smart formal classic heading. The curtain falls into very elegant folds that can be easily dressed. Our standard triple pleats are 5” deep. If your curtains are very long, we'll make the pleat 6" to keep the proportions of your curtains perfect. Suitable for both poles and tracks.

Double Pleat

A more relaxed version of the triple pleat. A Traditional but a little less formal than the triple pleat, Standard double pleats are 5” deep. If your curtains are very long, we'll adjust the pleat length to keep the proportions of your curtains perfect. Suitable for both poles and tracks.

Eyelet

A very modern, unfussy and extremely neat style of heading. With their regular even pleats, this heading requires the least amount of space either side of the window to stack back. Our standard eyelet size is 40mm and is suitable for all poles up to 35mm diameter. Only suitable for poles.

Tab Top

A Simple, airy and relaxed style of curtain heading, the tab top curtains from only 1.25X fullness. Too much fullness causes bunching and detracts from the curtains’ simplicity. Our standard tabs measure 7cm wide by 10cm deep and they fit all poles up to 35mm diameter. Note: Only suitable for poles

Inverted Pleat

This is a smart, formal and a little out of the ordinary. With its minimalist front face, this makes for a modern, contemporary look. Our standard pleats are 12.5cm (5”) deep; requiring a minimum of 2.25X fullness, your curtains will look full and generous. This style of curtain heading will need plenty of room to stack back. If you do not have space either side of your window, we suggest you choose a different heading. Suitable for both poles and tracks

Valence Styles

Valances give a soft finish to a window treatment and, depending on the choice of headings and trims used, are suitable for all types of room. A valance is a gathered or pleated pelmet which is hung from the front edge of the pelmet board. It conceals the track and curtain heading. If there is dead wall space above the window, the pelmet board can be placed above the window frame to make the window appear taller and therefore more elegant. This will also allow more light into the room. Arched-shaped valances look attractive on tall windows. As the deepest part of the valance falls over the curtain stack-back area, there should be no extra loss of light. For wide windows such as patio windows, the lower edge of the valance can be serpentined. This has the effect of softening the horizontal line of the window and adds extra interest to the design.

Gathered Heading

With its ruffled top, this heading makes for simple, understated curtains. Note:You will need to pull the heading tape strings at the end to form the pleats when your curtains are delivered. Suitable for both poles and tracks
